EMERGENCY COLLECTION TO UKRAINE
"We wanted to help the Ukrainians because their distress is overwhelming. I can imagine what it would be like to be in that situation and how even a little help would feel great. My whole family felt good about being able to help the Ukrainians." 🙃 -Alicia P.-
A warm thank you to everyone who participated in the Emergency Collection for Ukraine! The donations from the students and their families and the desire to help was heart-warming and touching. Some had collected donations over long distances and some had bought supplies and food directly from the store to export to Ukraine. The packages were clean, appropriate and packed with a big heart.
We got a lot of e.g. first aid supplies, disinfectants, painkillers, flashlights, batteries and dry/canned food that is needed on the battlefields right now.
Lots of chocolate, nuts and a few teddy bears went on a trip to the Ukrainian border, too. Hopefully they will comfort the Ukrainian children in the midst of the horrors of the war. 🙏🇺🇦

Towards a Carbon-free Laanila High School
Where does hope come from? How can existing climate education and everyday practices be better highlighted? How could the Repair Guide turn the climate crisis into tangible solutions?
👉Among these issues, among other things, these issues were discussed today at Laanila's workshop, under the theme high school curriculum in the Correctional Guide (ie the inclusion of competence marks in the Correctional Guide in the teaching of different subjects and in the high school curriculum of everyday life). 😊 In addition, a carbon-neutral high school was envisioned on the basis of the school community's Visio competence label.
💚In the midst of a stressful world situation, it was a pleasure to see the high school crowd and share your thoughts! We were able to hear suggestions for improvements to the competence signs, to circulate the practical issues of the school's climate work, and to place competence tasks in high school courses. This work is still ongoing and all comments are gratefully received!
☀️It was great to be together planning a more sustainable future with students, teachers, principals and project staff.
Thank you for sharing common concerns and solutions.
Hope is born by doing it together. 🤗
